Shenzhou 23

The Long March 2F/G launch vehicle for Shenzhou-24 arrived three months after the Long March 2F/G launch vehicle for Shenzhou-23.

The yearlong taikonaut will launch on Shenzhou-23 in late May or early June and return about a year later on Shenzhou-24.

Both Shenzhou-23 and Shenzhou-24 launch vehicles were delivered months ahead of their original schedules after Shenzhou-20 was struck by space debris late last year.

The Shenzhou-23 crewed rocket launch will take place in Jiuquan in late May.

A Pakistani visiting astronaut will fly to the Tiangong Space Station aboard Shenzhou-24 for a short-term stay and will return to Earth on Shenzhou-23.

A taikonaut from Shenzhou-23 will spend one year aboard the Tiangong Space Station and will return to Earth on Shenzhou-24.

One astronaut from the Shenzhou-23 crew will conduct a one-year stay experiment.

Both launch vehicle assembly building bays at Jiuquan are focused on Shenzhou-23 and Shenzhou-24 preparations.

Shenzhou-23, designated as a rotating backup mission, is currently located at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

Shenzhou 23 is now at the JSLC.

Shenzhou-23's CZ-2F launcher is expected to follow soon.

Deliveries of Shenzhou-23 and Shenzhou-24 spacecraft and their Long March 2F/G launch vehicles were moved up by six months to be available in case of an emergency requiring a new spacecraft.

The timeline for Long March 2F Y23 and Shenzhou-23 is expected to move to the left.

The Shenzhou-23 spacecraft has arrived at Jiuquan.

Shenzhou-23 spacecraft is at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center and is prepared to be on standby until its planned mission in April.

Shenzhou-23 has arrived at Jiuquan and will provide emergency backup to the crew currently aboard Tiangong.
