    Event context

On October 1, 2025, Maxar Intelligence (the Earth-imaging/geospatial-intelligence business formed in the Sept 2023 Maxar split, see related event) rebranded as Vantor (legal entity Vantor Holdings, Inc.), marking its repositioning from a satellite-imagery provider to an AI-powered "spatial intelligence" company; it launched the Tensorglobe platform at the same time. Vantor remains an Advent International portfolio company. Confirmed via SpaceNews, BusinessWire/Vantor press release, and corroborated by GCAT org-code phase data (source_gcat.orgs, ucode EWAT: MAXARI "Maxar Intelligence" tstop 2025 Oct).

    Scope: Earth-imaging / geospatial-intelligence business ("Maxar Intelligence")

Includes the WorldView/GeoEye satellite imagery constellation and analytics business.

Scope: Satellite manufacturing business ("Maxar Space Infrastructure"/"Maxar Space Systems")

Satellite bus manufacturing (successor to Space Systems/Loral); Palo Alto, CA.

    Event context

Less than five months after Advent International/BCI took Maxar private, Maxar Technologies reorganized into two separate operating businesses effective ~Sept 20-21, 2023: "Maxar Intelligence" (Earth-imaging/geospatial-intelligence business, interim CEO Daniel Jablonsky, later Dan Smoot from Oct 2023) and "Maxar Space Infrastructure" (satellite manufacturing business, CEO Chris Johnson) -- the latter name was shortly thereafter used interchangeably with/settled as "Maxar Space Systems". Both businesses rebranded again on Oct 1, 2025 as Vantor and Lanteris Space Systems respectively (see related 2025-10-01 identity_change events). This database uses the existing "Vantor" and "Lanteris Space Systems" organization rows for continuity rather than creating separate short-lived "Maxar Intelligence"/"Maxar Space Systems" rows. Confirmed via SpaceNews, Via Satellite, and BizWest contemporaneous reporting.
