    Event context

    New Space India Limited (NSIL), a wholly government-owned company under India's Department of Space, was incorporated March 6, 2019 to commercialize ISRO R&D, including transferring launch-vehicle manufacturing to industry consortiums and marketing satellite/launch services -- functions previously handled by Antrix Corporation (est. 1992). Antrix continues to exist, handling legacy contracts and disputes (including the Devas Multimedia arbitration), rather than being formally merged or dissolved.
