New Space India Limited (NSIL) is a wholly government-owned company under India's Department of Space, incorporated March 6, 2019, to commercialize ISRO research and development, including transferring launch-vehicle manufacturing to industry consortiums and marketing satellite/launch services. NSIL absorbed most of the commercial mandate previously held by Antrix Corporation (est. 1992), which continues to exist handling legacy contracts and disputes.
