Loral Space & Communications, founded in 1996, is a satellite communications company that provides satellite-based communication services. They offer broadcast and enterprise services, including video distribution, telecommunication carrier, and internet services. Loral Space has an ownership interest in Telesat Canada, a global satellite operator, and has partnered with the Public Sector Pension Investment Board of Canada. In November 2021, Loral Space & Communications was acquired by Telesat Canada.

Loral Space & Communications and Canada's Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments) acquired Telesat from Bell Canada for US$2.8 billion, completed October 2007, with Loral holding 63% ownership. Telesat later went public on Nasdaq and the Toronto Stock Exchange in 2021.
