    Event context

Effective 12:01 a.m. ET June 29, 2026, Honeywell International Inc. completed the spin-off of Honeywell Aerospace Inc. (distribution of 1 Honeywell Aerospace share per 2 Honeywell shares held as of June 15, 2026) and rebranded the remaining automation-focused parent as Honeywell Technologies (continuing to trade as HON on Nasdaq); Honeywell Aerospace began trading under ticker HONA. Honeywell Aerospace is a standalone aerospace/defense supplier with 36,000+ employees and >$17B 2025 revenue, expected to join the S&P 500. This followed the October 30, 2025 spin-off of Solstice Advanced Materials (1 Solstice share per 4 Honeywell shares), completing Honeywell's previously announced three-way breakup (announced Feb 2025) into Honeywell Technologies (automation), Honeywell Aerospace, and Solstice Advanced Materials. Solstice is outside the aerospace/defense/space domain and is not modeled as a separate organization in this database. DATA NOTE: This org row's label remains "Honeywell" though "Honeywell Aerospace" is already present as an entity_alias on this org_id; a data steward should review splitting this into distinct "Honeywell Technologies" and "Honeywell Aerospace" organization rows now that they are two independently traded public companies. Confirmed via Honeywell/Honeywell Aerospace official press releases and SEC Form 10-12B and 8-K filings.
