U.S. Special Operations Command

US

U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM or SOCOM) oversees the special operations component commands of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force. While not a direct space operator, SOCOM is increasingly incorporating space-based capabilities, including developing its own cubesats and hosted payloads, to support its operations. SOCOM partners with organizations like the Space Force and DARPA to leverage existing and emerging space technologies for special operations forces.
