Event context
CIE (Commandement Interarmées de l'Espace), created 2010 and subordinate to the CEMA, is confirmed as the CDE's core predecessor by the French Ministry of Armed Forces' own 2019 Space Defense Strategy report ("...une entite specifique s'appuyant sur l'actuel CIE constituera l'echelon de prefiguration..."). That report, published before the 3 September 2019 creation, names only CIE as a building block. The claim that COSMOS and CMOS were also absorbed comes from secondary-source search synthesis, not a directly verified primary-source quote, so overall event confidence is kept at inferred pending a primary source that names all three predecessors together.
