The Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) is a central administrative agency of the South Korean Ministry of National Defense. Founded in 2006, DAPA is responsible for planning, budgeting, and executing defense development and procurement programs for the Republic of Korea Armed Forces, including space technologies. It aims to enhance South Korea's defense capabilities, foster the defense industry, and promote civil-military technological cooperation through research and development and the acquisition of weapon systems. DAPA also works to establish space industry standards and certification systems to bolster domestic production of space components.
