Hanwha Aerospace Co., Ltd. is a South Korean aerospace and defense manufacturer, tracing to Samsung Techwin's 2015 acquisition by Hanwha Group (renamed Hanwha Techwin). Following a series of reorganizations -- a 2017 split into Hanwha Techwin/Hanwha Land Systems/Hanwha Power Systems/Hanwha Precision Machinery, a 2018 rename of the defense-focused subsidiary to Hanwha Aerospace, and 2019-2023 mergers absorbing Hanwha Defense and Hanwha Corporation's defense division -- Hanwha Aerospace emerged as Hanwha Group's consolidated aerospace/defense/space flagship, producing the K9 howitzer, KSLV-II Nuri launch vehicle engines, and satellite components.
