The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), established in 2015, is a Dubai government organization spearheading the UAE's space program. MBRSC is responsible for projects like the Emirates Mars Mission (Hope Probe), the Emirates Lunar Mission (Rashid Rover), and the UAE Astronaut Programme, as well as developing Earth observation satellites like KhalifaSat and MBZ-SAT. It actively collaborates with international partners such as NASA, ESA, and Thales Alenia Space on missions and technology development, with a focus on fostering scientific innovation and inspiring future generations in STEM fields. MBRSC provides services such as satellite imagery, data analysis, and ground station support.
Dubai Law No. 17 of 2015 established the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre, absorbing the Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology (EIAST, est. 2006) and its programs.
