Venµs
In 1998, CNES proposed the Rhea mission, which later became the VENµS satellite.
CNES used Formosat-2 satellite data to prepare for Sentinel-2 and VENµS missions.
VENµS was intended as a demonstrator for Sentinel-2 but was delayed until after Sentinel-2's launch.
Data from CNES satellites, including VENµS and SWOT, is stored in the datalake.
VENµS acquires Earth imagery every one to two days at a spatial resolution of 4 to 5 m.
VENµS was launched by the French Space Agency CNES and the Israel Space Agency in 2017.
