The Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) is the telecommunications regulatory body of Nepal, established in 1998. As an autonomous body, NTA is responsible for regulating all matters related to telecommunications in Nepal, including wireless, cellular, satellite, and cable services. NTA's functions include granting licenses to operators, monitoring service quality, and settling disputes. NTA is also working towards establishing Nepal's own satellite for improved internet access, disaster management, and economic growth.
