The 2nd Space Launch Squadron (2 SLS) is a unit of the United States Space Force located at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. Reactivated in July 2019, it delivers mission assurance, integration, maintenance, and operations for space launch, landing, and test missions. The 2 SLS is also home to the "Space Cowboys", the Department of Defense's only expeditionary space launch maintenance team, which specializes in small lift operations.
