Philippine Coast Guard

PH

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is a uniformed armed service responsible for enforcing laws, conducting maritime security operations, safeguarding life and property at sea, and protecting the marine environment within Philippine waters. It is attached to the Department of Transportation but can serve as an attached service of the Department of National Defense in wartime. The PCG has been working with the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) to enhance maritime domain awareness through the use of space science and technology applications, including satellite imagery. The PCG also works with international partners to modernize its capabilities with vessels and training.
