The Earth System Research Laboratory (ESRL), part of NOAA, studies atmospheric and other processes affecting air quality, weather, and climate. ESRL monitors the atmosphere, studies physical and chemical processes, and integrates findings into environmental information products. This research improves weather and climate tools for public and private sectors. ESRL has also been involved in international Research & Development projects funded by the European Space Agency (ESA).
