InSight

US

InSight was a NASA lander mission designed to study the deep interior of Mars. Managed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) with contributions from European agencies, its primary goal was to understand the formation and evolution of rocky planets. The lander carried instruments like the Seismic Experiment for Interior Structure (SEIS) to measure marsquakes and a heat probe (HP3) to study the planet's internal heat flow. InSight's mission provided data about the planet's core, mantle, and crust, contributing to our understanding of the early formation of terrestrial planets.
