U.S. Group on Earth Observations

The U.S. Group on Earth Observations (USGEO) is an interagency body chartered as a subcommittee under the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC). It coordinates federal Earth observation activities, fostering data management and interoperability. USGEO formulates the U.S. position and coordinates its participation in the international Group on Earth Observations (GEO). Key activities involve assessing Earth observation portfolios, managing data practices, and engaging international stakeholders, with partners including NASA, NOAA, and USGS.
