EUROCONTROL

BE

EUROCONTROL, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, is a pan-European, civil-military international organization dedicated to supporting European aviation and achieving safe and seamless air traffic management across Europe. While not an EU agency, it's been delegated parts of the Single European Sky regulations, making it central to coordinating and planning air traffic control. EUROCONTROL collaborates with national authorities, air navigation service providers, airspace users, and airports, also playing a role in integrating spaceflight operations within the international airspace ecosystem, including supporting projects related to U-space, Europe's traffic management system for Uncrewed Aerial Systems (drones). Key activities include strategic and tactical flow management, controller training, and safety-proofing technologies.
