PT Perusahaan Umum Telekomunikasi (PT Perumtel) was an Indonesian state-owned company that provided domestic and international telecommunications services. Established in 1974 after a split from PN Telekomunikasi, it played a key role in Indonesia's early telecommunications infrastructure. In 1991, Perumtel was renamed PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom), which continues to be a major player in the Indonesian telecommunications and satellite industry.
