Institute for Global Environmental Strategies

The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) is a non-profit organization based in the US that promotes the use of Earth observation technologies, particularly space-based satellites, to enhance the understanding of our changing planet. IGES delivers Earth science education, advances citizen science, and collaborates with public and private sector entities to identify environmental changes and manage risks. A key partner is NASA, with whom IGES leads the NASA Earth Science Education Collaborative (NESEC). IGES is involved in Earth science education, citizen science, and global Earth observations.
