The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) is the government agency responsible for regulating telecommunications in Bangladesh, including satellite communication systems and internet service provision. BTRC is also responsible for issuing licenses and assigning spectrum for satellite communications and is involved in initiatives to improve internet accessibility via satellite services. BTRC was responsible for launching Bangladesh's first satellite, Bangabandhu-1, and is currently working on regulations for non-geostationary satellite orbit (NGSO) systems.
