The National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) is a research institute under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Founded in 2004, NARIT's main missions are to conduct, support, and promote the development of astronomy and astrophysics in Thailand through research, public outreach, and educational activities. NARIT operates the Thai National Observatory, which includes a 2.4-meter telescope, the largest in Southeast Asia, and collaborates with international partners to expand astronomical knowledge. NARIT also engages in developing scientific instruments and software tools for astronomical research.
