The Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) is a public media organization in Ethiopia. While primarily focused on broadcasting news, entertainment, and educational content, EBC also plays a role in the space industry by broadcasting via satellite. In 2021, EBC migrated all of its channels to the Ethiosat platform on SES's NSS-12 satellite. This migration was supported by the Ethiopian Space Science and Geospatial Institute (ESSGI).

Ethiosat was launched in October 2019 as a result of an agreement among the Ethiopian Media Authority, Ethiopian Space Science, Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation, the Association of Ethiopian Broadcasters, and SES to consolidate Ethiopian TV channels at one orbital position.
