The Makeyev Design Bureau, also known as the State Rocket Center «Academician V.P. Makeev Design Bureau», is a Russian rocket design company and a key player in the space industry. Founded in 1947, it primarily designs and develops liquid and solid-propellant strategic missile systems, including submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs). After the break-up of the Soviet Union, Makeyev began marketing space launch services using surplus missiles, and is also involved in the development of civil spacecraft and launch vehicles.
