The Wuhan Municipal People's Government plays a key role in developing China's space industry by investing in and supporting the Wuhan National Space Industry Base. This base is the first commercial space industry base in China and facilitates the manufacturing of satellites, rockets, and space vehicles. They also co-organized the 9th Space Day of China, highlighting China's achievements and future plans in space exploration. The government partners with organizations like the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp (CASIC) and encourages private enterprises to participate in civil space infrastructure construction.
