It serves as a supplier of NPO Energomash RD-180 rocket engines to United Launch Alliance (ULA) for the Atlas V launch vehicle. While RD AMROSS has the rights to produce the RD-180 in the U.S., all engines have been manufactured in Russia. The RD-180 engine provides the main thrust for the Atlas V, which has been used by commercial customers, NASA, NRO, and the USAF.
