The University of Minnesota is a public land-grant research university with a significant presence in the space industry through its Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics (AEM) Department and its Space Physics group. The AEM department is one of the first 10 accredited aerospace engineering programs in the country and produces graduates who go on to work at NASA and various aerospace companies.
