As a member of the Florida University Space Research Consortium, UF works with NASA and other Florida universities to drive innovation in space exploration, research, and technology. UF's Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering offers a fully accredited aerospace engineering program. The university also launched the Space Mission Institute in 2024 as an interdisciplinary hub for space research.
