Joint Functional Component Command for Integrated Missile Defense

The Joint Functional Component Command for Integrated Missile Defense (JFCC IMD) is a component of the U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM). Established in 2005, JFCC IMD focuses on planning, coordinating, and executing global missile defense operations and support. It synchronizes missile defense planning, assesses new capabilities, and conducts joint training to deter adversaries and defend the U.S. and its allies against missile attacks. JFCC IMD works with various combatant commands, the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and other government agencies.
