IEEC 4DCube is a project by the Institut d'Estudis Espacials de Catalunya (IEEC) focused on developing technologies for space debris detection. Specifically, the 4DCube mission aims to detect space debris smaller than 10 cm, which is difficult to track with traditional optical or radar methods. The project was selected by the ESA for The Open Space Innovation Platform and won the "Call to Orbit" competition organized by Open Cosmos in partnership with ESA. The IEEC team is developing a hardware and software platform that can be integrated into different missions.
