Noorul Islam University (NIU), also known as Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE), is a private co-educational institution deemed to be a university located in Tamil Nadu, India. NIU has an Aerospace Engineering department that focuses on educating students in space technology, aircraft, launch vehicles, missiles, and space missions. The university also has a Satellite Space Research Centre and launched its own satellite, NIUSAT, in 2017 for agricultural applications and to facilitate higher education.
