GEBCO (General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans) is a joint program of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) and is the only organization with a mandate to map the entire ocean floor. GEBCO's primary activity is developing and providing global bathymetric data sets, including gridded terrain models of the ocean and land. A key partner is The Nippon Foundation, which collaborates with GEBCO on the Seabed 2030 project, aiming to complete the mapping of the world's ocean floor by 2030.
