Wallops Flight Facility

US

Wallops Flight Facility (WFF), operated by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, is a rocket launch site and research airport located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Established in 1945, it serves as NASA's primary location for suborbital research programs and supports science and exploration missions for various federal agencies and commercial organizations. WFF's capabilities include launching sounding rockets, small orbital rockets, high-altitude balloons, and conducting aeronautical research. It is NASA's only owned and operated launch range, supporting government and commercial needs for accessing various flight regimes.
