The 61st Air Base Group (ABG) was a United States Air Force unit that operated Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB) and supported the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC). It provided essential base support services, including personnel, family support, communications, contracting, civil engineering, and security. In 2021, the 61st ABG was redesignated as the Los Angeles Garrison as part of the transition to the U.S. Space Force. In 2022, the Los Angeles Garrison became Space Base Delta 3.
