The European Reference Frame (EUREF) is a sub-commission of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG). It defines, realizes, and maintains the European Reference Frame, which provides the geodetic infrastructure for projects requiring precise geo-referencing, such as positioning, navigation, and geodynamics. EUREF closely collaborates with the IAG and EuroGeographics and maintains the European Terrestrial Reference System 89 (ETRS89) and the European Vertical Reference System (EVRS).
