The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), now known as the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR), is the U.S. Navy's technical authority and acquisition command for C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance), business information technology, and space systems. As one of the Navy's SYSCOM Echelon II organizations, it provides systems engineering and technical support for the development and maintenance of these capabilities, ensuring secure communications and networks across naval platforms and facilities. NAVWAR partners with organizations like the Program Executive Office (PEO) for Space Systems and NIWC Pacific to deliver innovative solutions for U.S. Navy operations in space, including satellite communications, GPS, and space command and control.
