The Naval Avionics Facility, Indianapolis (NAFI), later known as the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Indianapolis (NAWC), was a United States Navy facility that focused on avionics research and development for all branches of military service. Originally established as the Naval Ordnance Plant in 1942 to produce Norden bombsights, it transitioned to avionics research, including electronic countermeasures, missile guidance technologies, satellites, and guided bombs. The facility was closed in 1996 but was acquired by Vertex Aerospace in 2021 and is now known as Vertex Technology & Training Solutions Division.
