NASA Goddard Space Flight Center

US

Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), located in Greenbelt, Maryland, is a major NASA space research laboratory and was NASA's first space flight complex. As the largest combined organization of scientists and engineers in the United States, GSFC is dedicated to increasing knowledge of Earth, the solar system, and the universe through space-based observations. GSFC manages and has played key roles in hundreds of NASA missions, including the James Webb Space Telescope, the Hubble Space Telescope, and the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. They also manage communications between mission control and orbiting astronauts aboard the International Space Station.
