The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) is a South Korean government ministry responsible for fostering the nation's space program. MSIT directs space development projects, aiming to shift the development of space technologies from the public to the private sector. It oversees the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) and the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA), and is focused on developing civil satellite programs, launch vehicles like Nuri (KSLV-II) and the next-generation KSLV-III, and the Korean Positioning System (KPS). The MSIT collaborates with international partners like the Australian Space Agency on space-related activities.
