Internet para Todos

Internet para Todos (IPT) is an initiative aimed at bridging the digital divide in Latin America by providing internet connectivity to remote regions. It is a collaboration between Telefónica, Meta (formerly Facebook), IDB Invest, and CAF. IPT partners with companies like Gilat Satellite Networks to deploy 4G cellular backhaul services, connecting smaller villages and overcoming technical and economic barriers to broadband access in rural areas. In Mexico, CFE Telecomunicaciones e Internet para Todos (CFE TEIT) is working to connect thousands of free internet access points in public spaces using satellite services from companies like AXESS Networks.
