The 15th Space Surveillance Squadron (15 SPSS) is a United States Space Force unit responsible for Space Domain Awareness (SDA) operations and research and development. Activated in 2022 and functioning under Space Delta 2, the 15th SPSS operates the Maui Space Surveillance Complex (MSSC) in Hawaii, which includes ground-based electro-optical deep space surveillance sensors (GEODSS) and a suite of telescopes.
