AeroVironment is an American defense contractor that designs and manufactures unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and tactical missile systems. While primarily focused on defense applications, AeroVironment has contributed to space-related projects, such as developing the Ingenuity helicopter which successfully landed on Mars in April 2021. They also develop high-altitude UAVs for communication relay platforms. NASA is one of their major partners in space exploration.
