The first is the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA), which is the national agency of Saudi Arabia responsible for regulating, developing, supervising, and monitoring the surveying, geospatial information, and imaging sector within the Kingdom. It sets and updates rules and standards, develops national geospatial infrastructure, and provides licenses and permits for geospatial activities. GEOSA also collaborates with international organizations like the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) and participates in conferences to promote knowledge exchange.
