When activated, the Charter tasks member agencies' satellites to acquire data of disaster-stricken areas, offering valuable insights for emergency response teams. Founded by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the French space agency CNES, it now includes 17 members such as NASA, ISRO and JAXA, and has been activated over 750 times across more than 130 countries.
