Armadillo Aerospace

US

Armadillo Aerospace was an aerospace startup that focused on developing reusable rocket-powered vehicles with the goal of manned suborbital spaceflight and eventual orbital capabilities. As a developer of VTVL (vertical takeoff, vertical landing) technology, they aimed to provide suborbital research and passenger flights. Though the company is now out of business, it had a marketing agreement with Space Adventures to provide suborbital rockets for space tourism and also worked with NASA through the Flight Opportunities Program. Key activities included rocket design, development, and testing, with a focus on liquid propellants and rapid iteration; its successor, Exos Aerospace, acquired its assets.
