The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) is an international membership body and learned society that brings together marine engineers, scientists, and technologists. As the largest marine organization of its kind, IMarEST spans 128 countries, promoting the scientific development of marine engineering, science, and technology and upholding the standards and expertise of marine professionals. IMarEST provides opportunities for the exchange of ideas and practices, enhances professional development, and collaborates with academia, industry, and regulators to raise standards and awareness. The organization also has consultative status at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and observer status at other intergovernmental commissions.
