Bochum Observatory

The Bochum Observatory, also known as Cape Kaminski, is a German research institute focused on radio astronomy and environmental research. Founded in 1946, the observatory gained international recognition for receiving early transmissions from space vehicles, including Sputnik 1 and Apollo missions. Today, it is involved in projects with NASA and DLR, receiving solar data from space probes and functioning as an educational center. The observatory is also part of ESERO Germany, the German Space Education Office of the ESA.
