Public Health England

GB

Public Health England (PHE) was an executive agency of the Department of Health and Social Care in England. Although primarily focused on national public health, PHE's work had implications for space-related activities, particularly regarding radiation exposure risks to individuals in high-altitude aviation and space environments. PHE was responsible for protecting the nation from public health hazards, preparing for public health emergencies, and improving the health of the population. PHE was replaced by the UK Health Security Agency and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities in 2021.
