The Fourteenth Air Force (14 AF), also known as Air Forces Strategic, was a numbered air force of the United States Air Force Space Command (AFSPC). Headquartered at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, it was responsible for organizing, training, equipping, commanding, and controlling Air Force space forces. Its mission included space launch operations, satellite command and control, missile warning, and space surveillance, supporting U.S. Strategic Command and other combatant commanders. The 14th Air Force was redesignated as Space Operations Command on December 20, 2019.
